Event description

This short workshop for parents reveals your lighter, sillier, more playful side. So you can step into your child’s world and create precious moments of joy and connection.

Join a small group for games and exercises that tap into positive, open and playful energy. Afterwards, you’ll feel uplifted and inspired to be the fun, present and imaginative parent you are.

  • Who this is for

You’re a parent or caregiver. Perhaps you’re comfortable doing reading or puzzles with kids. But does playing make-believe, characters, fantasy and role-play feel difficult, unfamiliar or awkward for you?

Yet you really want to join your child in their little world. You crave fun and daftness together while they’re still young - you just don’t quite know how.

  • Why be playful

Play is your child’s love language. Learn to speak it and you create trust and memories that set them up for success in life. A more playful approach to parenting helps your child (and you) express feelings, solve problems creatively, and build confidence.

Playfulness also encourages children to pay you more attention and learn from you. It eases tension too and helps you both feel calmer and more relaxed together.

Kids grow-up quick, as you know - so the time to be more playful is NOW.

  • What to expect

To be clear: this is a workshop for grown-ups only. You’ll play with a small group of six adults in a child-free environment. It’s a deliberately intimate experience so you have a richer and more relaxed experience.

A session will last approximately 60 minutes, with an option to run over slightly if that works for you.

You’ll gain useful insight and reflections that help you relate and play more easily at home with your children. You won’t be taught parenting skills because I trust you do that well enough already.

If these events sound helpful to you, please show your support by buying a ticket and joining. This tells me you need something like this, and it helps me know whether to add more dates in future or stop them. You can send a message to me below if you have any questions.

  • Who’s hosting

Chris Kenworthy knows life without innate joy and playfulness - as a very sensible child and now grown-up. But as a qualified coach, improviser and experienced facilitator, he’s seen firsthand how play and laughter transforms our quality of life and relationships.

He’s curious to rediscover your inner child and honour our adult responsibilities, yet take life a little less seriously…
