Pleasure and Danger is a regular panel series that aims to facilitate honest and thematic discussions on sex, sexuality and gender. This time around, our panel will reflect on their deeply personal engagements with diverse forms of sport and what this means for them in terms of identity, wellbeing and belonging.

Join us for what is bound to be an insightful and intriguing discussion. This event is a part of the SEXtember 2021 festival at UNSW Sydney.

Adam Clayton (He/Him)
Adam Clayton works as an IT superhero in the Western Sydney University Careers team by day, and is a hip hop and burlesque dancer by night. He also works on his mental and physical fitness by going to the gym and playing video games. A lot of his motivation behind his wellness journey comes from his desire to break his comfort zones and enhance his self-confidence and body image.

Alyssa Liem (she/her)
Alyssa is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She loves sharing her passion for exercise by being involved in the UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre community. She has been active in gym training, competitive athletics and cross country running for 6 years. She is currently studying Commerce and Media at UNSW Sydney and hopes to inspire more individuals into leading a rewarding active lifestyle.

Kat Williams (she/her)
Kat enjoys multiple team sports, including volleyball, badminton and basketball, with volleyball being her main sport of interest. She is completing her degree in social work at UNSW Sydney and hopes to one day become a mental health social worker. She is half Australian and Malaysian and was born and raised in Thailand.

Douglas Magaletti (he/him)
Doug is a queer, American-born Australian who works as an advertising coordinator. He loves pole fitness, swimming, walking, writing and painting, and enjoys looking for beauty in the small and unnoticed. He is a historian by training and a budding horticulturalist, and holds a Master of Journalism and Communications from UNSW Sydney.

Paul Ranocchiari (he/him)
Paul is an investment analyst and an active member of Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club, Wett Ones LGBTQI+ Swimming Club, and Bondi Running and Triathlon (BRAT). To unwind, he enjoys cooking and travelling. Paul graduated from UNSW Sydney in 2006 with a degree in commerce and science majoring in actuarial studies and mathematics.
