FLING's Adult Community Engagement Programs are a welcoming space to try something new, or return to your body in movement.
Classes are facilitated by FLING's team of professional dance artists and open to all abilities, ages and levels of experience.

WHAT TO EXPECT?:

Pleasure Practice is a gentle, welcoming space to reconnect with your body, senses, and joy - no movement experience required. This guided session invites you to follow curiosity, explore sensation, and move in ways that feel good for you. There’s no right or wrong way to participate - just a chance to slow down, tune in, and practice pleasure as a form of self-care and expression. Whether you're stretching, still, dancing, or simply breathing, you’re invited to come as you are.

WHO IS IT FOR?:

Pleasure Practice is for anyone craving a deeper connection with their body and creativity - no movement experience needed. Whether you’re a dancer, theatre maker, artist, or someone who just loves to move, this is a space to unwind, let go of your day, and move for yourself. All bodies, energies, and curiosities are welcome.

WHO IS LEADING?:

This class is led by FLING Executive Director Gabby Rose, whose practice is informed by work she has done with improvisation leaders in Australia, the UK and Europe. Gabby is a highly experienced facilitator who moves with you and aims to make every class unique and a joy filled experience for you.

WHAT TO WEAR?:

Wear warm comfortable clothing, we usually move in bare feet. The Bermagui Hall has a wooden floor and heating, though bring layers that you can remove as you start to warm up. Please bring a water bottle and a yoga/pilates mat if you would like a warming layer between you and the floor.

Class content can be adjusted with support from our teachers to suit your mobility needs.
If you have any accessibility requirements or previous injuries you would like to discuss before joining us, don't hesitate to get in touch.

*This class is best experienced in a series, however casual attendance is available.
