Join WAMA Foundation this spring for an inspiring outdoor watercolour painting workshop led by renowned Victorian landscape artist Mark Dober. Set within the rich surrounds of WAMA’s grounds and gardens, this hands-on session will explore the fundamentals of plein air painting including observation, colour, and composition in direct response to the natural landscape. Perfect for those looking to build confidence in painting outdoors, the workshop also offers an opportunity to explore fresh techniques, media and creative processes.

This small group workshop offers personal guidance in a relaxed and creative setting, with quality materials supplied. Participants will also enjoy complimentary access to WAMA’s exhibition Garden Sanctuary: Visions of Australian Flora, featuring new large-scale works by Mark Dober, as well as entry to the botanic gardens and free tea and coffee.

Workshop to take place at WAMA Foundation on Sunday the 25th from 9am - 4pm. Participants to meet in WAMA’s MPR room, 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop. All workshop materials supplied including chairs and tables for working outdoors. Workshop cost is $187 (inc. GST) with places limited to 15 participants.
