Event description

Having trouble starting or sustaining a story?

Finding it difficult to keep track of all your plot threads?

Is your story suffering from the "Saggy Middle Syndrome?

No matter which genre you're writing or what level of experience you have, author Alyssa J. Montgomery will lead you through some simple and reliable tools to build a plot of your novel, flesh out the details and keep track of plot threads in a chapter-by-chapter chart format that's easy to follow. As part of the workshop, Alyssa will also touch on the importance of characterisation and the great drivers of a novel - goal, motivation and conflict.

This will be a hands-on workshop. Those attending should bring their current plot outline (if they have one), a writing pad and pen, plus a roll of sticky tape. As well as the theoretical presentation and time to apply this to your novel, this course is designed to make Alyssa available to you to discuss your story and any problems you're experiencing with it.

Alyssa J. Montgomery is a multi-published, USA TODAY bestselling, award-winning author who has presented several workshops through the South Coast Writers Centre. Past participants of this course have left inspired and energised!
