Papua New Guinea Golden Jubilee Address by the Honourable Sir Gibuma Gibbs Salika GCL KBE CSM OBE, Chief Justice of the National and Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea.
Chief Justice Salika is PNG’s longest-serving judge and a nationally respected voice on constitutional law, customary practice, and the place of Indigenous justice traditions in a plural legal framework.
Held at the Federal Court of Australia in Sydney, this event invites legal professionals, students, and the general public to reflect on questions of sovereignty, coexisting legal systems, and how courts can better serve culturally diverse populations.
