    Do you feel lucky, punk?

~ How games of chance can revitalise your creative process

Unlock your potential as a poet. Join this Poetry Masterclass + Workshop with award-winning poet, Paris Rosemont, to help you revitalise your poetic process and get your creative juices flowing through a series of fun writing prompts.

    Part 1: The Masterclass

Through the random selection of games of chance, find new inspiration for your poetry and refresh your creative process. Paris will guide you through a series of writing prompts, case studies, and experimentation with different writing techniques.

    Part 2: The Workshop

Bring along a poem or two. During the final hour of this session, we will workshop your poetry in a kind and constructive way. Paris will facilitate discussions to try to help you identify possible blind spots in your work in order to strengthen and polish your poetry so that it sparkles!

This Poet in the House Masterclass + Workshop has been made possible through the generous support of a Randwick City Council Community Creative Grant. Thank you!

Paris Rosemont is the author of poetry collection Banana Girl (WestWords, 2023), shortlisted by the Association for the Study of Australian Literature for the 2024 Mary Gilmore Award for a first volume of poetry, shortlisted for the Society of Women Writers NSW Inc. Poetry Book Awards 2024, and longlisted for the Poetry Book Awards 2024 (UK). Paris’s poetry has been widely published and has won awards both locally and internationally. She takes delight in bringing her poetry to life through multi-disciplinary modes of expression, including theatrical performance. Paris's second poetry collection, Barefoot Poetess, is due for release in March 2025. She may be found on Instagram, Facebook,  or at www.parisrosemont.com
