Event description

Every superhero has an origin story: what’s yours?

     ~ Exploring your personal universe

Unlock your potential as a poet. Join this Poetry Masterclass + Workshop with award-winning poet, Paris Rosemont, to tap into your personal universe and discover your unique poetic voice. Deep dive into explorations of the self, and the things that have shaped you into becoming who you are. Every superhero has an origin story: what’s yours?

Part 1: The Masterclass

Through a series of introspective topic explorations, writing exercises, case studies, and experimentation with different writing techniques, Paris will guide you through weaving a compelling narrative, thereby giving voice to the shape of your story.

Part 2: The Workshop

Bring along a poem or two. During the final hour of this session, we will workshop your poetry in a kind and constructive way. Paris will facilitate discussions to try to help you identify possible blind spots in your work in order to strengthen and polish your poetry so that it sparkles!

This Poet in the House Masterclass + Workshop has been made possible through the generous support of a Randwick City Council Community Creative Grant. Thank you!
