Poetic Presence
Event description
The 2025 Poetic Presence Tour is a journey with and for community to plant seeds of intention, inspiration, power, and love. The deepest invitation is to let our inner fire burn away all that no longer serves... because the expansion of life and the embrace of death are inextricably linked. Together, let's make space for all we desire and deserve to be as we witness the layers of ourselves as individual, as community, as humanity, and as the breath of life itself.
🐍 Disclosure: There will be a snake at this event. In honor of the "Year of the Snake" as well as the profound energy of shedding and rebirth, Cleopatra will be our guest of honor. She is a 15-year-old ball python and will only be held somewhere between the DJ table and a straight line to the center of the dance floor. If a fear of snakes exists, we will communicate clear borders you would be able to maintain distance. Lean into it.
Cacao Circle: Hosted by the one and only Ashley Grewe... a woman with deep integrity, grace, and respect for the profound intention of this sacred heart-opening medicine. Please bring your favorite mug from home. All children are included in the cacao circle, whether or not parents wish for them to partake in drinking... let's open our hearts to community in all forms.
Potluck: Please bring a dish to share for 5-6 people. This could be your famous recipe that takes days to prepare or it could be a bag of grapes. Whatever you bring, offer it with love. Organic ingredients are strongly preferred. Reusable plates and silverware will be provided with special thanks to the Environmental Center. If your dish is best served hot, bring your own method of warming it (such as a crock pot).
Childcare: Parents with young children, even infants, are cordially invited to DANCE. We are blessed to have Billee and Jenni on staff for the Kidz Zone. Billee is a full-time childcare provider; she is CPR-certified, a former nursing assistant, and has considerable experience working with infants (as well as childcare for the Sunday "Dance Hohm" events in Sisters). Jenni has excelled in childcare for several years and is most recently the designated childcare provider at Tula Movement Arts; she is also the personal babysitter for Billee, which says a lot. Both caretakers are background-checked and ready to offer you peace of mind to relax and enjoy the evening. Childcare will start at 4:30pm after the cacao circle and end at 6:30pm after the dance closing circle. Note: Self-aware children are welcome on the dance floor.
