Poetry as a Vehicle for Tough Subjects
Free Virtual Writing Workshop

Join Lucky Jefferson and Devon Fulford for a free 1.5-hour virtual writing workshop designed for writers interested in using poetry to write about challenging topics.

Poetry has the power to confront, reframe, and transform our deepest and most challenging experiences. In this workshop, we’ll explore how poetic forms create space for vulnerability and resilience, offering new perspectives on topics like grief, intimacy, and conflict.

How can verse break silence, foster healing, and build understanding in ways other genres cannot? Through guided exercises, discussion, and creative exploration, participants will engage with poetry as both a refuge and a revolutionary tool for expression.

Date: Saturday, July 12th
Time: 11AM-12:30PM CT / 12-1:30PM ET
Location: Virtual (Zoom link provided upon registration)

Devon Fulford (she, her) is a poet and educator. She has a Doctor of Education and Master's degrees in both creative writing and education. She currently has three poetry collections: gulp (Red Ogre Review, 2024), the skin song (Bottlecap Press, 2024), and southern atheist: oh, honey (Cathexis Northwest Press, 2021).
