    Event description

Join us for creating connection and flow with self and others through harmonious rhythmical movements.

Be ready to move and be moved, have fun & feel with the stars with Eurythmist Nicole Peterson.

Workshop 1: Foundations, Rhythms and Rods

A guided movement workshop for people new to Eurythmy and those familiar and keen to experience more.  We will cover: Soul breathing - expansion and contraction, three-fold walking, geometric forms (straight and curved), and a few of the fun and foundational classic rhythm and copper rod exercises.  Be ready to move and be moved in this experiential introduction to the foundations of Eurythmy.

Workshop 2: Vowels and Planets e-motion

The vowels, connected with the ever-moving planetary aspects of the cosmos, ‘sing’ our inner feeling selves into the world.  In this workshop you will learn to listen closely and reveal through movement a range of vowel-rich poetry and  experience.  Many “Aha!” moments guaranteed   - oOo!

    Workshop 3: Consonants and Zodiac

The consonants bring form and structure to our language and ourselves. Come to this workshop to learn about the power of con-sonants, their diverse qualities, connections with the Zodiac,    and influence in poetry. Bombastic, fun, flighty, starry andmarvellous moves all on the menu. Mmmm!

‘Eu’ (harmonious) ‘rhythmy’ (rhythm) is the rhythmic, harmonious rendering of the sounds of speech and music into movement.  It is a relatively new movement art created by Rudolf and Marie Steiner in the early 1900’s, a ‘yoga for the West’, often involving deep social experiencing and heightened awareness of one’s place in the universe.  It is currently practiced, performed as a contemporary stage art, taught in Waldorf/Steiner schools, and used therapeutically throughout the world.
