    Book in some time for your creative self. Poetry Pages is short weekly online poetry lesson & writing exercise, in company with fellow writers hosted by Elizabeth Lewis and Writing WA is proud to support this individual extended session as a part of Love to Read Local Week.

    Welcome to Poetry Pages, your weekly creative check-in. This is a time to learn, to write and to dedicate to your creative growth and health. Each week I'll guide you through a beginners poetry lesson and a writing exercise to add to your toolkit. There'll be time for questions too.

    Some of the topics covered include:
    - Finding your flow as a writer
    - Finding a sense of joy and play in writing
    - Tools for overcoming fear/procrastination
    - Self-compassion in creating
    - The art of gentle editing
    - What it means to find your 'voice' in writing
    - How to learn from the poets you love
    - Tips to begin editing your poems
    - How to give and receive feedback
    - How to nourish your creative self

    About Elizabeth:

    Elizabeth Lewis is a published poet living in Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia. She has a BA in Writing from Edith Cowan University and has worked in the writing industry for 23 years. She is proud to have Chaired the KSP Writers' Centre for 5 years and is still involved in supporting their Literary program.
