Poets' Corner with Rory Harris

Rory Harris is a poet & teacher, currently teaching at Playford College in Adelaide’s northern suburbs. His most recent collection is milk & other poems (2022).

Previously, Rory has received funding from the Literature Board of the Australia Council for poet-in-residences in local and country schools and toured with the Australian Performing Group’s Mobile Poetry Workshop through Victoria in 1979. Through funding from various Arts entities he has undertaken yearlong residencies at Woodville HS (1981) & Elizabeth West Schools (1983).  He co-wrote a series of poetry text books with Peter McFarlane for the Australian Association for the Teaching of English and Macmillan Education Australia.  His radio dramas have been broadcast on National Radio Solomon Islands.
