Poi Māori for Adults, Studio One Toi Tū Friday 15 July 6-8pm
Event description
Learn to make poi with reclaimed t-shirts and wool stuffing off-cuts.
T-shirts are upcycled and reused in every step of the process in this workshop, from making the poi's braid and pompom, to wrapping the poi ball.
Every scrap of waste made during the poi making process is incorporated back into the poi. This is truly a zero waste class!
The end result is a strong poi that will be great to use.
The ReCreators will be following all government Covid guidelines including that all participants will need to:
- wear face masks
- socially distance
When: Friday 15 July 6pm - 8pm
Where: Studio One Toi Tu, 1 Ponsonby Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland. 1011.
