Event description

Proudly brought to you by Henderson Massey Local Board!

Celebrate Matariki by learning to make poi with reclaimed t-shirts and wool stuffing off-cuts.

T-shirts are upcycled and reused in every step of the process in this workshop, from making the poi's braid and pompom, to wrapping the poi ball.

Every scrap of waste made during the poi making process is incorporated back into the poi. This is truly a zero waste class!

The end result is a strong poi that will be great to use.

When: Friday 13 June, 5.30 pm - 8.30 pm

Where: Te Atatu Peninsula Community Centre, 595 Te Atatu Road, Te Atatū Peninsula, Auckland 0610, New Zealand
