Travel instructions
SUBWAY: The Graduate Center is located ¼ mile from the NQR/BDFM subway line at Herald Sq, PATH rail at 33rd, and 6 subway line at 33rd. We are located ½ mile east from Penn Station (123/ACE, Long Island Railroad, New Jersey Transit, Amtrak) and ½ mile south from Grand Central Station (456/7/S, Metro-North rail). The Herald Square subway station does have an elevator, as does Penn Station and Grand Central. You can check elevator status on the MTA website. Note: The Graduate Center is located in a high street traffic, foot traffic, shopping, tourist area. Travelling even one or two avenues can be difficult with the density of people and irregularity of movement. There are curb cuts on every corner, but construction is unpredictable. Please allow extra time in order to navigate around people who may not be considerate of other people or appropriately aware of their surroundings. BUS: Buses that stop within a one-block radius from the Graduate Center vertical campus include: M1, M2, M3, M4, M34, M34A, M55, BM5, QM21, BxM7, BxM8, BxM18, X27, X28, X37, X38, X63, X64, X68, SIM10, SIM31.
