From 1 January 2026, Queensland Police have the power to issue on-the-spot Police Protection Directions. This session will provide information to assist service providers in navigating these new provisions, including:

How do Police Protection Directions compare to other protections under the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012?

This session is tailored for service providers across a range of sectors, including social services, healthcare, and community support. It’s suitable for practitioners, support workers, coordinators, and anyone working directly with individuals who are affected by or experiencing domestic and family violence.
