Policy Unpacked 2024: The NDIS Review report - implications for psychosocial disability and OT
Event description
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your interest in this NDIS OT Community of Practice event. As you know, the NDIS Review final report will be made public in late 2023. This report will make recommendations for the future of the NDIS. It is likely to have significant implications for people with disabilities, their families, and supports. It is likely to have significant implications for the practice of occupational therapy with people with disabilities.
This event, delivered on Jan 16th 4.30pm-6pm, will focus on the implications for people with psychosocial disability, as this group have been highlighted as a group whose experiences with the NDIS and other supports, will change significantly. If you work with the broad group of people who identify as having a psychosocial disability, this event is for you.
We will share the event agenda and panel members in the New Year 2024. We will have an OTA representative, and others, join us to discuss the NDIS Review final report.
Our NDIS MHOT Community of Practice has decided to charge a small fee for this event, and funds raised will be utilized to respond directly to the NDIS Review report, promote best practice for people with psychosocial disability, alongside promoting the role of OT's working with these groups.
Sincere thanks,
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season,
Muriel
