How to be a BLACK WOMAN and survive the 2024 electoral season (without breaking a foot off...)
Black women in comedy will come together to trauma bond over this painfully insane political season. BTW, it's okay if you're a DEI who recently switched to Black...We'll network, share stories, build community, share their common interests, voice their struggles, and find strength in comedy! And they’ll probably cuss, because DAMN! DAMN!! DAMN!!!
This event will be panel led featuring politically minded award winning comedians Leighann Lord, MESHELLE “THE INDIE-MOM OF COMEDY,” Joanna Briley, Festival Director of Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest, and Cheryl Cruz, Actress, Improv, School Teacher.
Moderated by Candace Kelley, J.D., M.S., and Laura Canty-Samuel, A.D. UCB NY. There will also be a mental health professional on site, Pamela Mackie, MS AMFT, because yes, 2024 needs therapy!
All are welcome!
