Polyamory+ Victoria Picnic Social
Join us for a relaxed afternoon of social engagement with fellow Polyamorous, Ethically Non-Monogamous, Relationship Anarchist, and intentional relationship enthusiasts. We are inclusive of the LGBTIQ+ community and welcome individuals of all sexual orientations and gender identities. It's a perfect opportunity to share experiences, make new friends, and enjoy meaningful conversations in a welcoming outdoor setting. This event is family-friendly, and children are welcome under the supervision of their guardians.

We, the volunteers at Polyamory+ Victoria, will be there to hold space, greet you on arrival, and answer any questions from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Reach out if you need anything.

Emphasis on Consent

Our event emphasises the importance of consent. What do we mean by “consent”?
Consent is a freely given, reversible, informed, enthusiastic, and specific agreement between all parties involved in an interaction. It's about respecting boundaries and ensuring everyone feels safe and empowered to make their own choices.

Please note the intent of this event is a social meetup, not a dating or hookup event. Our Policy and Expectations are available via our website.

Venue:

Edinburgh Gardens, Fitzroy North
A casual, friendly, and open-air gathering space where you can bring food, drinks, and picnic essentials to enjoy the afternoon. The exact location will be emailed to you at 9am on the day of the event.

Food & Drinks: Bring your own food and drinks. Sharing is welcome, but please be mindful of allergies and dietary preferences.

Seating: Feel free to bring picnic blankets or fold-up chairs for comfort.

Accessibility: The location is wheelchair accessible, with nearby public toilets and shaded areas.

Finding Us at the Venue

We’ll be set up in a shaded area with space for picnic blankets and seating near the Rotunda (see image of map and our flag marker below)

Volunteers with Polyamory+ Victoria badges will be available to assist if needed.

Getting There:

Public Transport: Trams are available on St. Georges Road for easy access.
Driving: Limited street parking is available around the gardens. 

Important Notes:

• RSVP: Please RSVP by grabbing a free ticket so we can manage numbers.
• Privacy: Be mindful and cautious if you see fellow attendees outside of this event. Not everyone is out.
• Assistance: If you need help during the event, feel free to reach out to one of our volunteers.
• Games & Activities: Feel free to bring board games, card games, or outdoor activities to share! There will also be activities suitable for children.
• Weather: This event is subject to weather conditions. Updates will be provided if changes are necessary.
