    Event description

This early morning bird walk is part of our annual World Environment Day celebration, brought to you by CDEA, Wolston and Centenary Catchments (WaCC) and supported by Cr Sarah Hutton, Brisbane City Councillor for Jamboree Ward.

Pooh Corner Bushland Reserve's 4km Kangaroo Trail is an evenly graded gravelled track, suitable for child strollers but not recommended for mobility aids.

Make sure to bring your binoculars! Also BYO water bottle, sun protection and closed-in shoes.

Our guides for the bird walk will be Mike Bennett and Richard Fuller who have been regulars for this activity at previous events, as well as our own local CDEA member, Wendy Santana.

Following on from the morning bird walks, the World Environment Day 2024 celebration kicks off at 8:30am at the Pooh Corner Environment Centre. You are welcome to stay on for the main event after the bird walk. The program has a range of activities and speakers, including a wildlife show - always a hit for the kids (of all ages)!

Pooh Corner also has a population of koalas and if we're lucky we may be able to spot some of those.
