We’ll start the day off with a visit to our current exhibition, Enjoy this trip: The art of music posters, where you’ll see examples of graphic, psychedelic, and kaleidoscopic posters from the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Discover why screenprinting became such a popular and accessible medium for promoting music events, protest marches and exhibitions.
Back in the studio, Liz will guide you through the process of designing a poster, choosing colour, cutting stencils and printing with silk screens. This step-by-step workshop is suitable for both seasoned printmakers and complete beginners, with plenty of opportunity to experiement and create your own unique poster.
**Coffee and tea will be provided, and a fridge is available for those who wish to bring their own lunch.
