Popping workshop with Cypher Culture
Popping is a dance style originated from California during the 70s in Fresno, California or Oakland, California. The most popular origin story credits Fresno’s Sam “Boogaloo Sam” Solomon as the creator of Popping. Popping is a dance style that is the contracting and relaxing of the muscles to create a "pop" in conjunction with the music.
This workshop is open to dancers of all levels! Come join the cool club by registering for this workshop.

Meet your teacher: Kevin Lem
Kev has been popping since 2011 and represents Melbourne based Metaphysical Groove crew. He is always exploring ways for people to push their limits within the dance and is passionate about sharing his approach to how the music, technique, creativity, and foundation come together in popping all while aiming to be uniquely themself.
