Popular Music bring their intimate, expansive synth-pop to Nipaluna/Hobart. The Melbourne/Naarm-based duo of Zac Pennington (ex-Parenthetical Girls) and composer Prudence Rees-Lee draw from their latest album, Against Men, shimmering analogue electronics, glam-rock swagger and baroque ballads tangled in romance, betrayal and existential dread. Classic pop structures meet avant-garde ambition. Popular Music won’t save you.
