Our Community Project seeks to support and motivate, using a citizen-driven approach that recognises the value of all people to contribute. - Tender Funerals is a not-for-profit funeral service that ensures that those experiencing financial hardship or distress are able to access personalised, meaningful, and affordable funerals. - The No Interest Loan Scheme (NILs) provides individuals and families on low incomes, access to safe, fair, and affordable credit. - Community Development program works with community members and other agencies to identify and act on issues of importance. The main ways we do this are through projects and events, building relationships, and securing funding to make tangible things happen. Port Kembla Lantern Parade and Annual Christmas Feast are some of the major community events we host. - Culture Bank contributes by supporting cultural projects that belong to Wollongong – art, poetry, music, film, circus, books, theatre, and creative workshops among many other creative expressions. The more people who join Culture Bank, the more funds available to spend on creating and enhancing the cultural life of our community. - Our Community Project Port Locals Projects, allow numerous valuable community programs and projects in Port Kembla. From cooking to gardening, sewing, and various interest groups, there is a wide range of projects to cover a broad range of interests. - Jam n Bread enables diverse cultural communities to come together to jam, bake bread and share culture at the Our Community Project Hall.
