Port of Albany - Community Boat Tours

Southern Ports is offering the opportunity to see the Port of Albany like never before with its Community Boat Tours!

Get up close to our awe-inspiring operations and see the scale of our infrastructure while learning about the different industries and commodities we connect to global markets.

TOUR SCHEDULE

Dates:                               Friday 2 May and Saturday 3 May
Times:                               Tours running hourly between 9am and 4pm, please arrive 15 minutes prior.
Duration:                           45 minutes (including boarding and disembarkation).
Location:                           Departure from the charter pens at the Albany Town Marina on Toll Place. Check-in required at Southern Ports marquee located adjacent to pens. 
Cost:                                 Gold coin donation on arrival, proceeds go to Foodbank.
Security requirements:       Photo ID required upon check-in for all adults. Tickets mandatory. 


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If the weather is bad, will the tour still run?

Yes, the tour will run unless extreme weather conditions are forecast. In the event of extreme weather, Southern Ports will provide 24 hours’ notice of cancellation.

What do I need to wear?

We recommend bringing sun protection, a warm jacket and wearing comfortable enclosed shoes.

Can I bring food and drink on board?

Yes, you can bring snack food and enclosed drinking vessels. The vessel will have soft drinks, tea, coffee and milo available for purchase onboard. Please note this is an alcohol, smoking and vape free event.

Will people with mobility issues be able to board the boat?

If you have mobility issues, please make yourself known to our friendly staff who will arrange early boarding. If you have any concerns, please email us at comms@southernports.com.au

Does the boat have toilet facilities?

Yes, the boat has male and female toilets on board. Please note the toilets are not wheelchair accessible.

Can I bring children?

Yes, children are welcome to join the tour but must be supervised by an adult. We can accommodate prams onboard, please let our team know if you require assistance boarding.

What information do I need to provide to book tickets?

When you book your ticket you'll need to provide your name, email address and phone number. On the day, you'll need to provide Photo ID for all adults for security purposes.
