Event description

Celebrate the Nature Festival with a guided Eco Tour around the inner harbour of the Port River.

The Port River is a 'living river', supporting life from its muddy bottom to its clear waters and varied shores. Find out how the River has evolved over time, how it is a living system and what it offers our community.

The 3 km walk begins at the Healing Mural and Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary display, located in the inside courtyard of the Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre, and ends opposite Yitpi Yartapuultiku, close to Bower Road.

The 2-hour walk includes crossing the Jervois Bridge and down the stairs to Lartelare Reserve, and so is unsuited to people not able to use stairs.

You might like to park your car in the covered carpark, under the Jervois Bridge (near our finish point), within the Newport Quays development. It's then a 15-minute walk, up the stairs, to the starting point at the Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre.

Hosted by the City of PAE and Friends of Port River
