Portfolio Power Pop-up Workshop

Whilst not for everyone, the portfolio career can provide many benefits. Having more than one role can bring variety and an ability to increase earnings. For those with part-time work (as can often be the case within sport) it is often necessary to add on with other elements or roles to increase income, so the portfolio career becomes a default. 

This workshop on ‘Portfolio Power’ will discuss the pros and cons of having a portfolio career and explore how to make it work. Through a presentation, discussion, and activities, we will cover:

• Segments of your portfolio – designing for your needs
• Organisation and planning
• Boundaries and looking after self
• Financial care
• Networks and your personal brand
• Generating future work

Your facilitator, Lois Keay-Smith has enjoyed a portfolio career for a large chunk of her working life. As someone who loves variety, she has found it both stimulating and challenging. She will share some tips that have worked for her, as well as current best practices and approaches for the modern portfolio way of working.
