Charcoal Drawing Workshop at SECCA with SHNPA finalist Özlem Güler
Event description
Join local artist and Shirley Hannan National Portrait Prize finalist Özlem Güler in an introduction to representational drawing with charcoal and pencil. Basic concepts and practice will be introduced to enable you to continue this medium at home with confidence. No experience needed, you will be guided in setting up, use of materials, understanding shapes, light and shadow. In this workshop, you'll be supported to test materials, practicing lines, 3D shapes and shading to produce 1-2 drawings to take home. Handouts will be provided.
Arrive anytime from 6pm to explore the current exhibitions, come along after work, meet your friends, and share the art experience with a drink.
Materials will be supplied.
Numbers are limited!
Suitable for adults.
