Positive Behaviour Support Approach – Active SupportFree Online Workshop for WA ProvidersActive support provides a framework for providers to be able to adapt and meet the needs of the people they support. This workshop will look at that framework, and how the experience of people's needs being met contributes to a greater and higher quality of support. This workshop, led by an experienced OT and PBS practitioner, aims to give providers a greater understanding of the benefits of active support and the role it can play in increasing quality of life outcomes and reducing behaviours of concern for the people we work alongside. What will I leave with?The workshop will provider strategies to reflect on, which plant the seed for your organisation to incorporate strategies that can meet people with disabilities needs proactively. Participants will also leave with a copy of the presentation. Who is this workshop for?This workshop is for implementing providers, L&D managers, frontline leaders and quality managers. This workshop will be facilitated by Dylan Grogan. Dylan is an experienced Positive Occupational Therapist and Behaviour Support Practitioner who has also worked as an implementing provider. Dylan has extensive experience working in the remote areas of the Kimberley and Perth Metro providing guidance, therapy strategies and positive behaviour support. |
