The Australian Young Onset Dementia Special Interest Group is hosting this FREE webinar on positive behaviour support for people with young onset dementia. 

This webinar will explore how and why behaviour can change with Young Onset Dementia. The impact of changes in the brain, as well as environmental factors on behaviour will be explored. A range of strategies, approaches and services for supporting changed behaviours will be shared. Lived experience, research, and clinical perspectives will be presented.

Confirmed speakers: 

  • Kathryn Moyle - a carer for her partner with frontotemporal dementia and advocate on the Dementia Australia Research Foundation Scientific Panel. Kathryn is also an advocate member on the Steering Committee for the Care 2 Work project at Monash University, Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health, funded by the Medical Research Future Fund.  

  • Dr Alinka Fisher - a senior lecturer in Disability and Community Inclusion in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences a Flinders University. Alinka has specialised in the area of Positive Behaviour Support.

  • Lorraine Ng - a principal occupational therapist, Mental Health Divisions, Southern Adelaide Local Health Network and PhD candidate in the Caring Futures Institute, Flinders University.
