Sun, 12 Oct, 9am - 9:45am AWST

Event description

As part of GeoCatch's Pets Away, Possums Play program, this dog training workshop will equip you with the tools to manage your dog's behaviour around wildlife, ensuring both your pets and local possums can coexist peacefully.

In this group training workshop, Asher Lindberg from Geo Bay Dog Training will guide you through practical possum avoidance techniques, helping your dog understand boundaries, reducing stress for both you and the local wildlife. Learn how to prevent fence-jumping, excessive barking, and aggressive behaviour towards possums.

This event aims to raise awareness about living with the critically endangered Western Ringtail Possum, a species native to the South West of Western Australia. Due to habitat loss, predation, and other threats, their population has drastically declined, making it more important than ever to protect these unique marsupials. By teaching your dog possum avoidance techniques, you're not only improving your dog's behaviour but also contributing to the conservation of this fragile species.

Join us for an informative and hands-on session that will not only help protect native wildlife but also improve your dog's behaviour and your peace of mind.
