Possum Drey Workshop
Event description
Join the SJ Library staff for a hands-on workshop where you'll build your very own possum drey to take home—or create one to donate to a local organisation helping wildlife in our area.
The critically endangered Western Ringtail Possum faces a major threat: loss of habitat. By building and installing a possum drey in your backyard, you can help provide these incredible creatures with a safe place to rest and nest.
Your participation in this workshop will directly contribute to supporting the local possum population and their survival.
What you’ll do:
💚 Build a possum drey to take home or donate.
💚 Learn about the Western Ringtail Possum and how habitat loss impacts them.
💚 Help create a safe environment for local wildlife.
All ages are welcome.
