The Harold Improv Format

Learn the improv long form, The Harold. This 8 week class will break down all the components and structures of the Harold. The course will end with a performance of the form.Â
You will learn the traditional openers and games and also how to organically create them as a group. We will delve into each beat and how to develop and connect worlds, characters, themes, games, and patterns.
The Harold is a long-form improv form invented by Del Close at The I.O. Theater, which became the theater's mainstay show as well as at the Uprights Citizens Brigade. The form has been used to create structure for comedic writing of sitcoms and movies.

Dates: Saturdays, 3:00pm-5:30pm, January 18-March 8
Requirements: Completion of Level 4 Improv at AOCT or equivalent at another improv training center.
