• Frank Mulcahy, Spud Doctor - Getting the most out of seed through effective physiological age management and handling

• Calum Wilson, plant pathologist, Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture - Latest research and best management practices for powdery scab and pink rot, as well as insights into the new Integrated Disease Management project

• Brajesh Singh, Western Sydney University - Insights into the new Integrated Disease Management project

• Tim Walker, PotatoLink Tas regional representative - a regional focus discussion on the future of potato production

Speaker Bio’s

Frank Mulcahy
Frank Mulcahy is an experienced agronomist who has worked in seed potato certification and seed production for many years through out his career. Frank brings a wealth of practical research and on-farm experience, in improving quality and productivity in the processing potato industry.

Calum Wilson

Professor Calum Wilson is a plant pathologist within the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA) at the University of Tasmania with over 30 years’ experience in research and teaching. He leads an internationally respected research group. He has worked extensively on potato diseases.

Brajesh Singh

Distinguished Professor Brajesh Singh, Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment, Western Sydney University is a globally recognised soil ecologist whose research links soil biodiversity with ecosystem health, agricultural productivity, and climate resilience. He works with international bodies including the UN FAO and European Commission to support Sustainable Development Goals and chairs the FAO’s International Network on Soil Biodiversity. A Fellow of several scientific academies, he has published over 330 papers with more than 50,000 citations and is a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher and Arrell Global Food Innovation award winner.
