As part of the Year of Glacier Preservation, this powerful documentary explores the journey of glacial meltwater and the profound ways climate change is reshaping our mountains, waterways, and communities. Resonating deeply here in Aotearoa, Downstream is a call to action for all who love winter. We have special guests, Prof. Nicolas Cullen, an expert on South Island glaciers and snow, as well as local adventure enthusiast Nick Pascoe who will speak about his ski/packraft epic which passed through some almost extinct glaciers. We’ll finish off with a panel discussion to dive into what glacier loss means for New Zealand, what’s at stake, and how we can all be part of the solution with Nicolas, Nick, local guide Will Rowntree and local ecologist Christina McCabe. Let’s gather as a community to protect our winters and the precious ecosystems that depend on them.
All POW members (existing & new) will go into a prize draw to a pair of icebreaker x POW merch!
