Power Botany 9: Werrong Beach
Event description
POWER BOTANY 9: Werrong Beach (gooch week)Â
Queer bushwalking club with Solly AND
special guest curator Alix Higgins (Otford local and friend of the pod)
Meet at Otford station at 9:45am.Â
Because it’s summer and it’s hot, this will be a reasonably short walk, about 5 km. We will walk from Otford to Werrong beach lookout then down to the beach (it’s a clothing optional beach FYI). Bring your swimmers for a dip. Please bring plenty of water (at least 2L) and some lunch.Â
Expect a secluded wild beach wedged between towering shale cliffs and lush headland bush.Â
We will be walking on Dharawal land. This is and always will be Aboriginal land. Please be respectful of this land and think about indigenous peoples' ongoing care and connection to this land and waters.
