Reflection matters. What we do with it matters even more.
Throughout the Power to Praxis Practice Circle series, participants have explored purpose, relationships, implementation, project closure and the systems that shape our work. The final session focuses on moving from reflection to action.
The Power to Praxis Practice Circle is a monthly facilitated space for practitioners to reflect on the role of power, relationships and accountability in development, humanitarian, community development and social change work.
This session focuses on the Commitment stage of the Power to Praxis framework. Using the Commitment Cards, participants will reflect on insights from the series, identify areas for growth and accountability, and develop practical commitments for the year ahead.
Together we will consider questions such as:
What have I learned about my own practice?
What assumptions or habits am I seeking to change?
What commitments am I willing to make publicly?
How will I remain accountable to those commitments?
What support do I need to sustain change?
How can I carry these reflections into future projects and partnerships?
The Practice Circle is not a training course and does not require prior knowledge of decolonial theory. Instead, it offers a structured space for critical reflection, dialogue and shared learning with others working across the sector.
