Join us for an update on the renewable energy transition in Queensland and how to continue the journey.

Are you interested in renewable energy, and how the clean energy transition can transform the way we live? As well as driving down emissions, renewable energy such as solar and wind, combined with local storage, can lower bills for everyone in the Sunshine State. And with Queensland recently celebrating its millionth solar rooftop, now is the time to join the energy revolution!

Join us for an event to discuss the environmental, economic, and wider community benefits of the energy transition. In this critical election year, we will discuss advocating for support for household and community energy solutions at both state and federal government.

This is a speaking and listening event to find out how we can all be part of the energy transition, how we can ensure communities get their own energy systems, and how we can encourage politicians to stick to their promises to improve environmental and economic gains from renewable energy.

There will be a short panel discussion, including local case studies of communities coming together, followed by Q&A and participant planning.

More Details

Queensland governments at State and local levels are waking up to the challenge of transitioning to renewable energy. However, their efforts are in danger of falling behind other Australian states unless all sides of politics support sustainable, economically just renewable energy. As Queensland moves ahead with plans to legislate emission reduction targets through its Clean Economy Jobs Bill, now is a critical time in the energy transition.

If you are keen to hear about how Queensland is progressing with its transition, what other states are doing, and what more Queensland could and should be doing -- in addition to how households are saving money and communities are taking things into their own hands -- then please join us for an evening of thought-provoking discussion, and ideas for local campaign planning, around key policy issues at play in this critical State election year.
