In all Power to Change's training we rely on the Holy Spirit. In our MyFriends training we rely on the Holy Spirit to prompt us to Love, Pray and Care for our friends and know when to have spiritual conversations with them.

Speaker: Bill Hodgson, Power to Change

Bill has ministered with Power to Change (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) Cru for 43 years having spent 20 years in training youth ministry leaders then 15 years as National Director of the organisation with 170 missionary staff. Since 2014 Bill has been working as part of the Global Leadership team of the Church Movements strategy supporting and equipping pastors and church planters in building disciplemaking movements and multiplication of disciples, groups, and churches.

Ian has been a missionary with Power to Change for 22 years. He spent 10 years working with university students and five years as Executive Assistant to the National Director and Communications Team Leader. Since 2016, Ian has been part of the Church Movements Strategy, supporting and equipping pastors and church planters in building disciple-making movements that lead to multiplication of disciples, groups, and churches.

What is the MyFriends Training ?

MyFriends helps everyday Christians to develop a evangelistic lifestyle that connects people in their social circles to Jesus. Enjoy a supportive community as you:

• Explore and apply Jesus' principles of love, prayer, and care for your friends and family.
• Learn how to help people experience Jesus and work in step with the Holy Spirit as He opens up opportunities to connect people to Him.

The MyFriends Training is held over nine weekly 1.5 hour sessions, delivered using a hybrid model. Multiple small groups gather face-to-face or online and join their trainer via Zoom. The training material is in a digital format for easy viewing on any device.

MyFriends is designed specifically for a post-modern, millennial, non-churched, Western culture. Having originated in Switzerland, we started running it in Australia since 2016, and it is now bearing the fruit of new believers and multiplying groups all over the country.

We’re offering five national MyFriends Learning Communities in Term 2, 2024 spread over three time zones. One group is for leaders looking to facilitate (Mobilize) MyFriends in their local context.
