Event description

Are you looking to make a change in your career, or to take the next step, and need help communicating your value and what you can bring to an employer (or to your own business)?

These two 2-hour Masterclasses over lunch will arm you with the techniques to do just that. You can attend one, or both.

Please note that the first Masterclass ('Skills' focus) has passed - but you may register for the remaining Masterclass ('Pitch' focus) regardless of whether you attended the Skills session or not.

PowerUp your Skills Masterclass (passed)

Struggling to put your skills into words—or even recognise what sets you apart? This empowering masterclass helps you identify and articulate your unique skills and strengths with confidence. Through guided reflection, practical tools, and feedback, you'll walk away with more confidence to communicate your value, and to be seen for all that you bring.

Thursday May 29, 11am-1pm, at Aldersgate Centre (309 Durham Street North)

PowerUp your Pitch Masterclass (tickets still available)

Nail your next introduction with a pitch that highlights your strengths and unique value. In this masterclass, you’ll learn how to craft a compelling "Tell me about yourself" response that showcases your experience, skills, and aspirations with confidence. Whether for interviews, networking, or leadership opportunities, you’ll leave with a clear, authentic, and impactful pitch that sets you apart.

Thursday June 12, 11am-1pm, at BNZ Centre (L4, 111 Cashel Street)

Who should attend: Professional women who are wanting to progress or make a change in their career, but are struggling with honing and communicating their skills and value. You may have taken a career break, be new to the country or to Christchurch, be wanting to change industries, or want to start working for yourself.

A light lunch will be provided.

These Masterclasses are delivered by The Career Development Company, powered by ChristchurchNZ, the Sustainable Economic Development Agency for Ōtautahi Christchurch.
