Travel instructions

Bus: The two closest bus stops are on Federation Mall. From here, it is a 200 metre walk to the Main Front entrance of Australian Parliament House, across the Courtyard. Hazards on the Courtyard include a water feature surrounded by bushes. Car: The public visitor car park is located underground at the northern (facing the Australian War Memorial) side of the building. From the car park, there is a ramp up to a flight of stairs and with an elevator also available, to bring visitors to the 'Great Veranda' and the Main Front entrance.

After entry instructions

After entering Australian Parliament House through the Main Front Entrance, locate the 'Pass Desk' in the Marble Foyer (immediately outside the Main Front doors) for event registration. The event will take place in the APH Theatre, up the west Marble Stairs on the 1st floor.

Hazards

Most of the visitor attraction areas of Australian Parliament House are on the 1st floor, accessible by stair or elevators off of the Marble Foyer.

Toilet location

There are multiple accessible bathrooms in the public areas, and there is an adult-hoist change facility bathroom adjacent to the Post Office.

Accessible parking

The row of visitor parking closest to the visitor car park entrance ramp are designated for accessible parking.

Hearing Loops

There are hearing loops in the Theatre and the viewing galleries in the Great Hall and both Chambers. There are also hearing loops in the Main Committee Room and committee rooms 1R3, 2R2 and 2S2.
