PPWA Perth City Photo Walk
Event description
Let's kick off 2025 with some creativity and community spirit!
Join us for the first Pro Photography WA event for 2025 -- a Perth City Photowalk with a difference!
This photowalk has an inspiring element to it... this one features three photographic themes, and depending on the theme you choose to do, you'll be led by photographer/s who are expert practitioners in that theme, who will share tips, suggestions and ideas with you as you go!
Note that the themed walks all take place at the same time, so you can only attend one themed photowalk.
The themes are:
1. Perth Through the Lens of Travel and Documentary - Led by Fiona Birt and Lynn Gail
Explore the city in a way that freshens your view of Perth. Join the team supreme of documentary and travel photographers (and award winners in their respective fields), Fiona Birt and Lynn Gail, as you capture aspects of life and travel in Perth through the travel and reportage lens!
2. Picturing the Urban Landscape - Led by Liz Barker and Mark Brierley
Join uber urban visionaries Liz Barker and Mark Brierley for a walk through the urban jungle of Perth in search of ways of visualising and capturing the city as an urban and abstract photographer!
3. Imagining the City - Led by Chris Dark and Chris Saunders
Enjoy a bit of Dark and Saunders as these award-winning maestros take you on a journey to depict unique and creative perspectives of Perth. We suggest that you bring neutral density (ND filters) with you, and perhaps some vaseline to add to the mix. Anything is possible when the ingredients are this creative!
This event is FREE for PPWA members. Non-members can also join in for a nominal fee of $20.
After the event, we will segue to a watering hole (aka pub) to enjoy a refreshing drink and catch up with each other.
Note:
- PPWA Members, when you register for this event, please select the Theme you would like to participate in.
- Non-members can purchase a general ticket and choose the theme they want to join in on the day.
See you there!
