PR for Academics: Just Write Better and Less is More

The PR for Academics workshop series aims to assist researchers gain impact by communicating their research messages beyond the academy. 

Excellent researchers have to be excellent communicators too. There are many facets to excellent communication, but, above all else, it’s always about the words; the better your writing, the more effective your communication will be. It's as simple as that. Taking as its inspiration a quote from Pulitzer Prize winning writer E. Annie Proulx, this session looks at getting the best words down on the page, and then editing them until they are perfect.
