PR for Academics: Making Documentaries and Exhibitions

The PR for Academics workshop series aims to assist researchers gain impact by communicating their research messages beyond the academy. 

Exhibitions and documentaries are the perfect vehicles for engaging with large numbers of people in very exciting and dynamic settings. As well as the blockbusters – Tutankhamen, anyone? - there are a whole variety of niche outlets – museums, galleries, exhibition spaces and screens where research can be communicated in memorable ways. This session looks at the practical and organizational sides of getting your message across in these very outward-facing environments and getting your research under, in some cases, some very large numbers of eyes.
