PR for Academics: Podcasting

The PR for Academics workshop series aims to assist researchers gain impact by communicating their research messages beyond the academy. 

Australians are now the world’s most avid podcast listeners with, at the last count, close to 800 million podcasts being downloaded in this country annually. And the styles of podcasts produced, and the range of topics covered, are almost as numerous. This workshop will offer a practical look at how, with fairly minimal budgets and technical resources, you can turn your work into intellectually challenging auditory experiences and create research-based content for this massive audience. Podcasts will give you impact and engagement in quantities that would make Costco proud, and can also be a lot of fun to do.
