PR for Academics: Presenting on Screen

The PR for Academics workshop series aims to assist researchers gain impact by communicating their research messages beyond the academy. 

If the pandemic taught us anything, it was that you don’t necessarily have to be in the same room as your audience to have an impact on them. Zoom, Teams, Skype and many other channels allow you to speak to audiences around the globe from the comfort of your home office and without the headache of organizing – and finding the budget for! – travel and accommodation. Giving a good presentation on screen, whether live or pre-recorded, can be a highly effective way to communicate your research. This workshop will look at how you can use this medium to its best advantage to become a great online communicator.
