PR for Academics: Writing for newspapers and magazines and The Conversation

The PR for Academics workshop series aims to assist researchers gain impact by communicating their research messages beyond the academy. 

Despite the rise of short form media, newspapers, magazines and their digital counterparts are hugely popular and widely read; they are also great vehicles for reaching large audiences outside the academy. And The Conversation is a great first step into this world. 

This workshop will look at finding stories in your research that would appeal to these audiences and working out the best way to pitch them for publication.
