Practice and Connection Forum - Outer Gippsland (East Gippsland & Wellington)
Building knowledge, skills & collaborative practice. Supporting practitioners to respond to family violence across Gippsland!
The Gippsland Family Violence Alliance Practice & Connection Forums are open to all practitioners working in Family Violence, AoD, Mental Health, Family Services or any other workforce prescribed under MARAM (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment) Framework.
Each Practice & Connection Forum is designed to provide information to practitioners to build their knowledge, skills and practice around particular topics, while providing opportunities to identify and enhance collaboration between practitioners and organisations across the service sector.
November Topic: Completing Risk Assessments & Safety Plans for Children & Young People (via Non-offending Parent).
This presentation will:
- Identify the importance of completing individual risk assessments and safety planning for each child and young person
- Discuss the importance of building rapport with the non-offending adult
- Assist with identifying parenting goals
- Highlight the work of Integrated Family Services
- Develop ways for you to have conversations with the non-offending adult about:
- The impact of family violence on children and young people
- Completing risk assessments and safety plans for children and young people
Delivered by a panel of guest presenters from Gippsland's specialist family violence and family services.
