Event description

Join our Partners in Prayer as we hear about and pray for the gospel work in Spain.

God is evidently at work throughout Spain, both in and outside of established structures such as the Roman Catholic church. However, because of its link with the Franco-regime during the 20th century and its religious ´monopoly´, the Roman Catholic church in Spain has lost much of its credibility. On the one hand this has created a vacuum that has been filled by atheism, materialism, occultism and many other ideologies. On the other hand, there is now a great opportunity to help people discover a real, relevant relationship with the Living God through all kinds of new expressions of His body, the Church.

Our workers in Spain:

Colin & Jill

Based in the south, Colin aims to help Spanish churches become mobilised to reach out to same culture and cross-cultural people groups both locally and overseas by training and mentoring existing mobilisers around the country, growing, strategizing and planning with this team and by networking with local pastors.

Lauren

After spending her final year of an intercultural ministry apprenticeship in Spain, she returned to Australia to be further equipped. Currently she is studying at Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC) with the hope to return to the field afterwards.

Claire

Beginning with learning language and culture, she hope's to build strong relationships and partner with local believers to see the growth of the Basque Church, that more people might come to celebrate the surpassing beauty of Christ.

James & Carolynn

Their team has open a Christian guesthouse in their town of Zalla for people walking the Camino de Santiago. Their aim is to serve local people and pilgrims with the love and hospitality of Jesus.

Chloë

Has spent the last 10 years serving in northern Córdoba, living out her faith, loving people and sharing Jesus as part of a small church in a rural town. Recently she moved to Roquetas de Mar, to serve as an anchor for a team and to start ministry in the town.
